My Life in a Goat, Blog 2

Having a goat that needs major healing (this sounds better than saying sick goat; it gives hope and the possibility of miraculous recovered health), a goat that is you, but in a goat's body, is a spiritual journey.  It calls for a meticulous look at your own life.  This is not just a remodel job for a life that needs a face lift, this is a complete tear down.  I have studied the truth for many decades, but have not been able to implement it.  Now it is time.  Now I have no choice.  Now I have a goat that insists that I heal so that he can heal.  If we are connected with our animal companions, it means that we must heal ourselves on every level if they are faced with crucial circumstances.

Enter the Abraham Material as channeled by Esther Hicks. Enter Wallace Wattles, The Science of Getting Rich which is far more about life in general than just monetary prosperity -  http://wallacewattles.wwwhubs.com/rich.htm   (you can delete some of the wording that sounds religious and still get the message, don't let the small details get in your way.  Get the concept and omit the parts that don't feel right to you).  Enter the Biblical phrase: Whatsoever ye desire, know ye have it now, and ye shall have it.  Even though this is in the Bible, it is extremely overlooked by most Bible readers.  I am not a Bible reader, I am not religious, but this one sentence feels like truth to me. I read it years ago in a metaphysical article in an alternative magazine. These three sources say the exact same thing.  They come in different packages, different shapes and forms, and yet the message is the same.

If we dwell on appearances and focus on what it is that is not working for us, we only get more of the same.  If we visualize our desires in ways that feel real to us and do that often enough, we can create change.  However, focusing our mind to choose only thoughts that serve us, is not an easy task. Visualizing and Feeling a life that we choose over what we currently see and experience, takes an extreme amount of focus and discipline.

It is easy to complain.  It is easy to forget to be thankful for what we already have.  To be thankful for things and situations that we do not yet have, but believe we will have, takes extreme diligence.  To put it in the present moment and not into some far off future takes even more energy.  This requires change.  Or rather, it requires CHANGE.  We have to change our whole thought structure, change our whole way of seeing our life, change the way we believe and what we know to be true.

And we may be the only one we know who is ready to make this shift....  To believe a situation or circumstance that we desire is here now, to see and feel it, to live as if it is here now. to be thankful for something we cannot yet see in the tangible world, but can see in the imagined world is easier if everyone were on this path.  But, what if you are the only one believing and feeling your desire is here, but have no proof in the third dimensional world?  When you feel others' doubts, they become your own.  A mind can change in a moment.  How can you harness the power of the mind so that it serves you?  It is so easy to accept defeat.  It is so easy to go to yet another seminar for self-help that is quickly forgotten or too hard to attain and put in the hopeful but not likely pile.

It is too easy to get discouraged when listening to people who are only doing things based on the third dimension.   The world is full of people who believe things when they see them.  There are few people who see things in their mind, feel them, live them and then create them into being.   To do this requires that we enter into a different dimension.  We cannot live in the third dimensional world only and expect to understand higher dimensional creation.  Fear and doubt are thoughts that come from the third dimension, from most people living on this earth.  They spread that like weeds and expect people to believe and behave as they do.  But, when you have a goat that is you in a different body, that needs healing, it forces you to access other dimensions.  You just cannot have a normal mind set when dealing with a situation that requires you to get pushed beyond the norm in order to create change....

My Life in a Goat

My goat, Rocky, was diagnosed with lung cancer.  Many people have experienced their beloved animal companions getting sick. It is an extremely difficult lesson journey to take.  Some of us rely on animals to allow ourselves to live comfortably in this world.  If we are extremely sensitive people, belonging to an animal can be our only salvation.  If we need more love than most people, being connected to an animal helps us to live better lives.  But, being a goat lover can be more challenging than being a cat or dog lover.  You cannot live just anywhere with a goat, there are strict zoning laws. There are not many goat vets and ones that know extensive goat medicine can be a very far drive away or in another state. Goats are not easy to transport as the hooved and horned creatures like to have their feet firmly planted on the ground.

The goat farms in my area are for meat goats.  They eat them.  That is the equivalent of eating your son or daughter.   Even if you were starving, you would probably not kill your loved ones for your own sustenance.

Being faced with many challenges that this world has no answers for, I've had to thoroughly understand what I am up against and what are my options.  Having a sick goat with no local vets that know extensive goat medicine and not currently being able to live with them, makes this journey a spiritual one.

When you are part of a goat herd, you are part of an elaborate social structure that is extremely important and extremely strong.  My herd consists of me and two goats, Rocky and Sunshine.  Rocky and I share the same life.  We are connected by every fiber of our being.  One look from his eyes with horizontal pupils and I know where I stand, what he wants, what is going on with him, how he feels, what I might need to adjust or it is simply a nod of connection reinforcing that we share the same air and the same space, that the environment we live in is shared and that we are forever connected.  In that one look, there is a connected bond that enables one to have a sense of belonging in this world.  With goats, you are never alone and never isolated.  You are connected on every level at every moment. At least, this is how it is for me.

So having my life in a goat makes it extremely challenging when my dearly beloved comes down with something as serious as cancer.  I realize my life.  I realize what I need to change.  I realize what hasn't worked, will never work and what needs to be shifted in order to function in this world.  In short, my goat is forcing me to change my life inside and out.  His illness is my spiritual journey.
